India vs South Africa 2nd Match: Team News and Probable XI

Team News

If Hardik and Krunal's unplanned net session on a travel day, on Monday, is anything to go by, the Pandya brothers are all set to feature in Team India's playing eleven together after a long time. There's a strong case for the Chahar cousin brothers also to feature alongside each other again for a second game should the hosts want to persist with the leg spin option in Rahul Chahar.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja/Rahul Chahar, Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini

South Africa:

Out of all the four uncapped players, Temba Bavuma is most certain to get a debut match as South Africa brought just five specialist batsmen on tour. Left-arm spin all-rounder George Linde could be another one to be handed his maiden cap should South Africa want an additional spinner to assist veteran leg spinner Tabraiz Shamsi. Perhaps the tougher choice that the visitors have to make is between Junior Dala and the uncapped Anrich Nortje. There's an interesting rivalry brewing between Junior Dala and Rohit Sharma, which the bowler is winning hands down for now, and then there's Kolkata Knight Riders recruit who brings to the table serious pace to trouble the Indians.

Probable XI: Quinton de Kock (c), Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius/George Linde, Kagiso Rabada, Beuran Hendricks, Junior Dala/Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi.
